For example, ETH/BTC trading pair uses Bitcoin to price ether. The price of this trading pair indicates that how many Bitcoins it requires to buy one ether. Through cryptocurrency trading pairs, you can trade one cryptocurrency with another one directly, with no fiat currency involved.

Currently, half of the worldwide Bitcoin trading volume comes from cryptocurrency trading pairs, as fiat-to-crypto trading gradually decreases.
